TEACHING TOLERANCE:
This year we at All One Heart will begin to go into the classrooms of pre- and elementary schools to teach tolerance through our program adapted from the Teaching Tolerance
Institute. This will enable us to further extend our efforts to start young in teaching our children to be tolerant of
diversity and accept without fear - but with love - our diverse cultures and personal differences. The goals of All One Heart are to help educate about medical conditions, cultural and religious differences, age,
and race. We know that with education comes understanding and that understanding can remove unwarranted fear, which then promotes tolerance, and often a personal bond.
Our world is such that all children from now on will live multiculturally. Through the advent of the Internet, the World Wide Web now in our TV sets, planet Earth is becoming more of a neighborhood. We
must look beyond the boundaries we have made for ourselves of prejudice and hate and open our homes, our hearts, and our minds to the reality of human diversity.
We hope to provide tools that can help children create a more harmonious existence for their future.
